The latest version of MyTown is now available from the Apple App Store. You can download it for free here!
Over the course of this update period, we focused most of our efforts on streamlining the app. The recent feature additions, such as Product Check-ins, decorating your properties, creating items, etc., coupled with the inclusion of 3rd party API's unfortunately caused our app to run at a slower than optimum speed and at times crashed for a small percentage of users when performing basic actions such as collecting rent, and launching the app. As a result, our engineers have spent the last few weeks fine-tuning and improving the functionality of MyTown, ensuring that these performance issues are just a thing of the past.
In addition to various bug fixes, this new update gives you the ability to choose the building style you want for a given location, regardless of the current property level. For example, a level 20 building could be represented with a style only previously available to level 5 buildings. We felt this was a great way for higher level players to continue to upgrade their buildings without having to sacrifice the "realness" of their favorite burger joint's look. We've also included 5 new levels for our most hardcore players. These levels are tough, so be sure to use plenty of power-ups if you want to progress! One new building upgrade has also been included!
Enjoy MyTown 4.2, available exclusively on the Apple App Store!
The new update is great!! But i have to say you guys did the right thing by fixing the bugs. i would rather it work well and max out then have 100 levels and crash all the time or suffer thru taking forever to collect rent or do anything for that matter. My only complaint is WHERE ARE ALL THE UTILITY TOOLS. I have been playing for months and am maxed out on levels and all my propertys are level 22 and i checkin atleast 40 times every day and have only found 3. also we should be able to buy more propertys.. But overall great game.. Props Booyah.

I have to agree with several of the other comments, 5 levels were not enough, though everything at these levels requiring 4 utility tools will keep me busy with resterauts for a while. My one suggestion for a future update is to change the timer for building items. Saying that a stamp speeds up time and yet displaying 29 minutes on the clock just doesn't make sense. I know that this system works properly, but is it really that hard to just say that there are only 10 minutes until an item is created? I understand that you tried to remedy this by using push notifications, but as someone who already gets enough of those I don't need MyTown sending me them every 10 minutes, and then at 30 minutes for the townhall. Just a thought, anyway great job! I'm still loving the game!

I haven't downloaded the new update yet as I was one of the ones affected by the instant log on failure glitch, so at the moment I'm just enjoying having MyTown back. But reading what you say that you have done with fixing the glitches and speed improvment is the best. I'm probably the minority opinion but I believe you guys did what was best by focusing on improving the existing system errors, many glitches, and speed improvements rather than focusing on a multitude of new levels, etc. Once again! Booyah ya did the right thing by not getting ahead of yourselves and adding more technical issues to a version of MyTown with already too many technical issues! Fix what's broken & then start from there! Great job booyah !! As a side note, I'm beyond thrilled about the abundance of building choices!!! Awesome

OOOH yeah, I want to also mention YOU guys lied, scratch offs are still horribly limited, I only get 6 uses, wow, 1 more is an improvement?? Really now, JUST REMOVE the limit!! come on Dudes!! I have 50+ of those damn scratch offs sitting in my inventory, and you keep giving me more all the time.. why limit that shit???

Dude 5 levels was NOT enough I did suggest IF you went with 5 levels make it REALLY hard to level up, I leveled up to max level in no time at all... I had a cache of points items for my check ins and the app gave me 40 free checkins, then 16 more from shrimp powerups, etc., PLEASE make up to 100 levels!! I'm sick of maxing out, I want a real challenge BOOYAH!! 5 levels was a joke.. you gotta be kidding.. BTW, where are the PROMISED leaderboard rewards?? I want more prizes!! The next time you take months to update MyTown, Make More than 5 levels. I love the ability to choose different buildings, it's about damn time, not just the current level buildings but ALL of them.. All my buildings are level 22.. So how about more levels there?? Yes I know that you have to make art for them, but it can't be that hard can it?? Look at REAL buildings for inspiration..
